Ownership Commitment
Wood Lake Doodles is not a big facility or kennel, we are an in home breeder. That being said we currently only have the capacity to have a few litters per year. We will interview potential families, if you are what we consider a good fit for a Goldendoodle puppy we will accept a non-refundable deposit at the time of a confimed pregnancy from the vet. We will only select the best qualified fur-ever homes for our puppies.
At Wood Lake Doodles we know that a lot families have two working adults. We understand you cannot quit your day job to raise your puppy. During our interview with you we will ask you for your experience with dogs, your views on training, crate training, vaccination beliefs, and so on. Every potential family has different needs, experience, views and we will get information from you to helps us identify who needs what information and what families will be a good fit for our puppies. If you've had a puppy before, or if this is your first puppy, we want to make sure you leave prepared for what life with a puppy may bring. The good the bad and the life full of LOVE and Joy your Doodle will bring!
Deposits
There is a deposit of $250, it is non-refundable, with the exception being if our pregnant mom ends up with a false pregnancy or miscarriage. I try to only collect deposits at the time of confirmed pregnancy to avoid this from happening. You may still choose to transfer to another litter. As another option we would be able to refund if she does not have a litter. If you choose to transfer to another litter that would mean that if others are already on that list, you would take the next available spot. We can't bump people down to give you the same spot you may have had on a previous list.
We do not and can not guarantee how many puppies will be in the litter. Even with an xray it's not completely accurate. Our last litter we were expecting 5-6 and ended up with 9. It could also work the opposite where we end up with less puppies. We would not be able to refund if you are holding a spot on the list and she doesn't have enough puppies to get to your spot. In this case, it is best to transfer to another litter, to be at the top of the list.
